Hey Carl-- I thought that name looked familiar... Good to see you're still out there, and still an LW fan! I've kept that MU issue with the interview for years! I just thought some of the friends and fans of the band would like to see it. Are you still in Indy? Email me sometime. Karl...
Carl Haynes - Friday, February 4th, 2005 2:53 AM GMT
Hi Just came across this site while listening to a Legal Weapon cd and doing a little searching to see what happened to them.
It was great to see the interview Marvin and I did way back in '83 (I was in high school at the time and we did the interview on the back porch of my parents house).
Eric - Tuesday, January 4th, 2005 2:19 AM GMT
Happy New Years!
I hope all you LW fans have a great year.

I just came across this web site. I was a huge Silencers fan way back when and released the Shock + Silencers CD last year. I'll offer the CD for $8 PPD to anybody who mentions this board (I assume you all already have it though). You can visit my site at http://www.punk-information.com/

Patricia's website does seem to be kaput... but you can resurrect it by going to http://www.archive.org/ and entering Patricia's website address in the "Wayback Machine"...they archive extinct websites... choose the entry from Dec. 2003 its the most up to date... "Steven B" is an old freind of LW who, among other things, helped protect Kat from flying bottles at the '86 Street Scene show. P.S. I love those Michiko MP3s.
michiko - Sunday, December 5th, 2004 3:26 AM GMT

You guys have been one of my favorite bands since '82. I was very happy to find this site. How do I go about purchasing a copy of your self-titled 2002 album?
Charlie - Friday, November 19th, 2004 3:41 PM GMT
Karl,
I did get the CD you sent w/ the NWT tracks. Thanks.
I'll get copies posted on the LW site soon.
Brian also sent me a copy of the recently released Silencers CD. (http://thesilencers-music.tripod.com/)
I plan to post a sample of 'Boystown' from that CD, plus a LW live version.
Cool stuff continues to trickle in from die-hard LW types.
Karl - Friday, November 19th, 2004 12:02 PM GMT
Welcome back. If you haven't seen it already, check out http://www.pacificwebjournal.net/ for my Legal Weapon article. I've also reprinted a 1983 interview with the band on the site. I sent a CDR of 2 of the band's New Wave Theater performances to Charlie, so he may be posting those on this site soon. Did you ever get any LW stuff on CD? Karl...

Exactly ten years ago Mr. Hansen and I blasted the Continent as Rozz's frontline. Then drummer Todd is now a defense attorney in Spokane and I've left the workforce to care for sweet dying Brenda in Yorkville, Ohio. Rock on, Brian, you were always the best...ain't life grand?
Susan - Tuesday, November 2nd, 2004 12:08 AM GMT
Gosh, those sure were the days Steve. LW memory, going up to Mulholland and sitting on a cliff overlooking LA and drinking beer and smoking some great bud! :)
Steven - Thursday, October 28th, 2004 12:08 PM GMT

The song "Boyfriends and Girlfriends" has a good vocal by Kat [singing in a British accent] and some amusing lyrics. The CD also has the Silencers version of "Out of Control", a song Legal Weapon would record on the "Death of Innocence" album. For some reason it is not listed in the credits of the Shock/Silencers CD. Shock was Steve Reina's earlier band. They sound a little like Generation X.
Eric - Sunday, October 3rd, 2004 9:56 PM GMT
Has anyone purchased this cd?
Shock & The Silencers
Here is a link to a review

I think I will get it once I have some extra cash.
Karl - Saturday, September 25th, 2004 7:41 AM GMT
I saw a couple of "Your Weapon" CDs on amazon.com for about $20.
Tom - Friday, September 24th, 2004 12:21 PM GMT
Is the Your Weapon lp available on cd? My turntable does not work anymore.
Eric - Wednesday, September 22nd, 2004 2:25 AM GMT
Karl,Thanks for posting the 1983 interview. I remember being really bummed out when LW didn't play DC back in 1983. I "knew" they hadn't played, but over the past 20 years I sometimes tormented myself by imagining they had actually played the show and I had somehow missed it!
Recently I scored the No Sorrow cd, somehow I missed out when it was reissued ten years ago. I didn't pick up,the first two lps on cd either, since I had them on vinyl, now i am need to get a hold of the cds, since my lps are 350 miles away in storage and my tape with both the lps finally bit the dust. Who said it was easy being a rock and roller!

Hello all. I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm playing in a band with Brian Ruse, in Arizona. Writting some originals and playing gigs 2 nights a week. The band is called Rockerbox and we're making quite a stir in our neck of the woods. I'll keep you posted.
Eric - Saturday, August 21st, 2004 8:23 PM GMT
I'd like to thank Charlie as well, this LW site is great. I've played the final LW cd that Charlie has sent me, many many times, it is a shame it has not been released by a label. It dawned on me that I have been listening to LW for over 20 years, which is amazing!

General stuff...Best new LW info item is Karl's article at http://www.pacificwebjournal.net/. May inspire me to update this website.

Most productive contact from ever faithful fans....Have referred Brian of Grand Theft Audio to Brian and Steve/Kat. Maybe he can get old releases, or never released live stuff, out....Brian at GTA has had contact with Adam Maples. Don't know if he's playing. I'd like to recruit him for my new rock band.
